FAQ
1. How does the rental process work?
     - The rental process works similar to that of renting a dvd from Blockbuster.  You pay a fee to borrow the book for the semester and simply return it during finals week.
2.  Do I need to bring anything with me when I pick up my books?
     - Yes.  Please bring in a valid id and/or your Google receipt.  You also need to bring in a valid credit card.  We need that information in case the books are returned late, get lost, stolen or damaged.  We do not receive your credit card information from Google.  It has to be a major credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.  NO DEBIT CARDS.
3.  Do I get any money back when I return the textbooks I rented ?
     - No.  You saved money at the beginning of the semester by renting versus buying.  It is a guaranteed savings up front versus hoping to get money back at the end of the semester during buyback. If you'd like to receive money back at the end of the semester, you can purchase your textbooks from us and then sell them to us at the end of the semester. 
4.  Can you highlight in the book? 
     -  Yes. You can not however write in pen, pencil or marker.
5.  Will the books be shipped to my house if I order online?
     -  No.  Books will not be shipped from our store.  You can either pick them up from our store during business hours or you can have them delivered to you on campus for a $5 fee.
6.  When are the books due back?
     -  Books are due back the Friday of finals week. 
7.  What if your store is closed when I want to return my book?
     -  If you'd like to return your book after store hours, simply slide it through the large mail slot located towards the bottom of the door.
8.  How does the waiting list work?
     -  The waiting list gives us an idea of what students need that we are currently out of.  If we get more books in stock, we know which students to contact about renting those books for the upcoming semester.  We will get more books in stock if students drop classes and return their books to us, we buy books from students during buyback times or if we decide to order more from our suppliers.  Being on the waiting list is not a guarantee that we will get the books in stock however.  We will give you a call if your book becomes available.
9.  What is the return policy?
     -  Students have 5 days from the first day of class to return their books for a full refund for a normal semester. Students have until Wednesday of the first week of interim to return interim books for a full refund. For summer school, students have until Wednesday of the first week of school to return books for a full refund.
10.  How much are your late fees?
     - If books are not returned by the due date there will be a 25% late fee charge of the total rental price originally.  For example, if you rented a book for $24 at the beginning of the semester and returned it 1 day late, your late fee would be $6. If a book is turned in 2 days late there will be a 50% late fee of the original rental price. Late fees are not put towards the purchase of a lost or stolen book however the original rental price will be.  Students are responsible for lost or stolen books and must purchase them from textbook rentals.  Books not turned in after 2 days late will be purchased by the student in addition to the late fees.
11.  What are your store hours?
     -  For store hours click the " calendar " tab at the top of the page.
12.  What if I want to keep the books?
      - Textbook Rentals now offers the option to either rent or buy textbooks.  If however you want to keep a book that you rented, we will only charge you the difference between your rental price and the used book price.  Your rental fee will be put towards the purchase price of the the textbook.
